EnterprisePOS has a nice package for tracking work orders / repairs. Items for service are collected at the point-of-sale that is entered into a work queue for your technicians. You can even scan or snap a photo of the item to be serviced to be entered into the system.

Below is a screen shot of an item taken in to be serviced. At any time a technician can open the service/work order and enter their comments or change the status (assigned, work-in-progress, on hold, completed, etc.).

You can track internal or external service/repair jobs by various technicians or group and quickly sort by item or status.

You can schedule your jobs and get automatically notified when jobs are completed.

You can track work order costs by technician, group, department, etc. It can even track your employee mileage (or other expenses) for you within the work order!

It will keep strict control of your work shop with the “Work Station” module (included)! Watch the color-coded list of work orders come rolling into the shop and easily see which jobs are assigned, in progress, on hold, or completed at a glance! If a customer calls wanting a status of the item being worked on in the shop, simply open it up for a quick status.
